As the situation unfolds, the continuous monitoring of the labor market and economic indicators becomes imperative. While there are a lot of data sources, projections and forecasts, this brief is intending to provide periodic updated data coming from official sources like the National Agency for Employment and Skills, General Department of Taxation, and data coming from statistical sources as they become available. 

This is part of the UNDP assistance to the Ministry of Finance and Economy in establishing a Labour Market Information System, under UNDP Skills Development for Employment (Sd4E) programme in partnership with the Government of Switzerland. The production of these LMIS signals would be a starting point for such a system to be functional and enriched for further use, as well as provide insights on the impact of recovery measures and serve as a reference for policy making.
