MUSTAFAJ (Besnik), L'Albanie entre crimes et mirages, Actes Sud. An interesting, albeit subjective narrative of the 1991 changes by a well-known Albanian poet, who is currently the Albanian Ambassador in Paris.

PRIFTI (Peter), Socialist Albania since 1944. Cambridge MIT Press. 1978.

ROUX (Michel), Les Albanais en Yougoslavie: minorité et développement, L'Harmattan, Maison des Sciences de l'Homme, 1992. An excellent academic work on the relation between ethnic minority and underdevelopment of the Albanian Kosovars and Macedonians. Also a sound and rare analysis of the historical and political dimension of the Albanian presence in the Balkans.
