United Nations Agencies with representation in Albania

After the official opening of the UNDP office in August 1991, the following United Nations specialized Agencies are represented in Albania: UNFPA, UNICEF, UNHCR, WFP, and WHO.

The UNDP Resident Representative is also the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System's Operational Activities for Development. The Resident Representative of UNDP is responsible for the UNDP and UNFPA Programmes. The present UNDP contacts in Tirana are:

The following countries have established Embassies in Tirana: Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Hungary, Italy, Iran, Libya, Kosovo, Macedonia, Palestine, Poland, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Malta, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States of America, Yugoslavia.

Denmark, Spain, and Sweden have established honorary consulates in Tirana:

Most of these countries have developed bilateral aid programmes. The main bilateral donors are France, Germany, Greece, Turkey, Italy, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
