Italian Government contributes to Territorial and Administrative Reform in Albania

The Italian Government signed today an agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for providing a financial contribution of 800,000 Euros to UNDP’s multi-donor fund in support to the Government of Albania Administrative and Territorial Reform. This strengthens further the international support towards this key national priority.

A Multistakeholder Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility was convened in Tirana. The Forum serves as a consultative platform for promoting CSR in Albania. During today's session three companies were awarded CSR Awards in three categories: 1) CSR Innovation Award - MEGATEK, 2) CSR Best practice for SMEs - Energy Ashta and 3) CSR Best Practices for Large Companies-ProCredit Bank.
School students call for conservation of biodiversity in Karaburun

Vlore, 22 May 2014. School students of Orikum High School in Vlora called on communities to conserve biodiversity. Celebrating the International Day of Biodiversity, they organized a number of sports activities such as volleyball, kayak, running and painting. This event helped send a message to their peers but also to the public in the surrounding area: Everybody should work towards preserving marine and coastal resources for the benefit of sustainable tourism and people living in the area.
