UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative

Zineb Touimi-Benjelloun is the United Nations Resident Coordinator and United Nations Development Programme Resident Representative in Albania.

Before arriving in Albania, Ms.Zineb Touimi-Benjelloun served as United Nations Fund for Women, UNIFEM (now part of UN Women) Representative in Morocco and Regional Programme Director for UNIFEM’s North Africa division. Prior to this assignment, Ms. Touimi-Benjelloun was Programme Coordinator for UNIFEM’s North Africa Division. She has served as UNIFEM Gender Advisor for Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia and before that, as National Programme Officer and Assistant Resident Representative for United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA).

She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Harvard University and a Master’s Degree in International Affairs with a specialisation in economic and political development from Columbia University.
